Many small transformations do not need a server: text normalization, date calculations, color math, and simple encoding can run locally in a browser. This reduces network dependency and can keep pasted input from leaving the device.
Local processing is not a blanket security guarantee. Browser extensions, compromised devices, clipboard permissions, and third-party scripts can still affect privacy. Sensitive tokens should never be pasted into an untrusted page.
Tools should be clear about network use. The Minosoft Downloader contacts GitHub to retrieve release metadata, while many text utilities can work without sending their input anywhere.
